Based on the short story “Afterward” from Edith Wharton’s newly republished collection Ghosts, composer Buck McDaniel gives the world premiere of his new work for solo organ and narrator, Stranger in the Garden. Portraying the story of an English manor home in which its ghostly secrets reveal themselves “not till long afterward”, this program promises an otherworldly experience for audiences of all ages.
